SeaLink knows all the special things to see and do on Waiheke Island
When you make your travel booking, talk to our knowledgeable team who will be able to book these activities for you or advise you who to contact.
A vineyard tour will show you the island's scenic highlights and you'll get to taste some local wines. Or pick up a vineyard or art map and plan your own self-guided tour. View Waiheke Winegrowers website to plan your trip.
Take to the waters in a hired kayak - a great way to get acquainted with the island's quiet bays and waterways. Alternatively try paddling a Black Waka, or go fishing - a great catch and a meal of freshly caught snapper is an added bonus while you are on holiday.
Hire a mountain bike for the day and get some exercise while taking in the views. Get a copy of the Waiheke Island Walkways map and take a hike on one of the island's many stunning coastal walkways. Waiheke Workout Gym offers casual rates for holidaymakers if you just can't do without the real adrenalin rush!
Ostend's Saturday market is a great place to see the island's colourful characters and buy local food, produce and art.
Have a day at the beach or take your fish and chips to the quirky local movie theatre. At the end of the day relax with a glass of wine and choose from one of the many cafes or restaurants to spend your evening.
Waiheke Winter Blues Festival 2010 - Weekend of 28/29 August
In the middle of winter what better way to shake those blues! Last year's event was a huge success and this year's will be even better.
