Customer Service & Sales Consultant

Full & Part Time positions available

SeaLink operate a fleet of vessels on the Hauraki Gulf, transporting passengers, cars and freight to Waiheke and Great Barrier Islands.

We are looking for an energetic, motivated person to be the smiling face at the end of the telephone based in our central Wynyard Wharf office. This is an extremely important role, requiring both phone and face to face customer contact.

This position is based on 7 day flexible roster including public holidays with shifts of up to 9 hours per day at peak times.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting sales targets
  • Holiday package & ferry bookings
  • Check in operations
  • Daily banking and cash reconciliation
  • Email, telephone and retail customer service

Job requirements:

  • Proven sales and customer service experience
  • Professional and positive 'can do' attitude
  • A demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • High computer competency
  • Ability to work as part of a successful team

Bar/Cafe Assistant - Full Time

We are looking for an energetic person to be the face of SeaLink in this extremely important frontline role on board the pride of our fleet - the Seacat.

This Bar/Cafe position is based on a 4 days on / 4 days off roster including public holidays with shifts of up to 16 hours per day required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operation of bar/cafe facilities
  • Administration duties
  • Cash reconciliation and stock taking
  • Re-stocking of provisions
  • Cleaning of vessel

Job requirements:

  • Proven sales and customer service experience
  • Professional and positive 'can do' attitude
  • A demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • At least 3 years experience in a licensed hospitality environment an advantage
  • Holder of a General Manager's Certificate as required under the Sale of Liquor Act 1998 preferred
